The place was great—especially the peace and quiet, and no unexpected visitors (like a dog), as sometimes happens elsewhere. We really didn’t want that, mainly for our own sake, so nothing would happen.The only tricky part is driving in wet conditions—we had to leave in the morning before an approaching storm, just to be safe, so we wouldn’t have to call a tow truck later. Otherwise, it was perfect for us; we’d love to come back when it’s dry, which is why we gave it a heart.
A nice spot, a large meadow, and the huge advantage that it’s all to yourselves. We easily panned some nice minerals from the stream; the kids enjoyed it, so that’s a big plus. The nearby shop is closed, and the pond isn’t suitable for swimming—or only for the more hardy among us. It was pretty noisy in the area in the evening and at night—there’s probably some kind of local bar nearby. Overall, we rate the place positively, mainly because of the minerals.
