After our initial success, we came back and even enjoyed a bonfire with the kids :)
If you’re not looking for luxury and are content with a simple, beautiful place away from the usual residential areas—surrounded by peace and nature—then don’t hesitate... "Keep it simple"
Oh, and the kids really loved it here—despite my wife’s slight concerns (about them climbing onto the roof of the cottage, jumping off things, nails, etc.)—I’m glad about that; I don’t want to raise them to be overprotected wimps :)
We stumbled upon this place more by chance, but that made it an even nicer surprise. Our young children, ages 3.5 and 4.5, had a wonderful time playing here and even called the area behind the first campsite a playground :) I can’t say how it was in the past based on the reviews, but right now this place is very pleasant, and it’s clear that someone has really put effort into making it child-friendly. This spot is absolutely ideal for us because we’re looking for a place—above all—away from other homes, where it’s quiet and surrounded only by nature. We especially appreciate a fire pit with some firewood and a nice dry toilet, which we found here. We don’t need anything else. Simple amenities are really all we need.
We’d also like to recommend (photo) a nice trip to the nearby Kouřim Open-Air Museum—the Museum of Folk Architecture in Kouřim.
