Where do the property ratings come from?
A clean and well-equipped glamping site, including little extras like shower gel, essential oils for the aroma lamp, air freshener spray, tea, and coffee. The indoor plants also contribute to the pleasant atmosphere. A great terrace with a view. These are the little extras that really enhance the atmosphere when the basics are working properly.
Maybe it was just a coincidence, but when we arrived, there was no water in the shower (the tank on the roof was empty), the door wouldn’t stay closed in its frame (we had to keep locking it so it wouldn’t swing open suddenly on its own), and the wood box contained a few “prepared” pieces of scrap wood.
We sorted out the water and wood issues according to the instructions. We were even more surprised to learn on the day of our arrival that the water at the campsite was, after all, not potable, as stated in the description. Along with this information, we also received an invitation to the forest bar and an offer to rent paddleboards and a boat. The forest bar had been completely empty for 14 days, and the boat we were looking forward to using wasn’t available either. (Even though the weather was sunny, the boat’s solar-powered battery didn’t charge at all during our entire stay.) I’d sum it up by saying we were lured in and then disappointed by the description.
You can shrug off some things and deal with others, but it’s helpful to know what you’ll actually find there (especially when traveling with small children). P.S. This place isn’t a great choice for a stay with toddlers. :D The deck in front of the glamping tent is made of unplaned wood, so we left covered in splinters.
Otherwise, though, it’s a nice and peaceful place.
