Solitude in the forest in the Kokořín region #7081

We are offering a garden for rent in the Kokořín region. The garden is located next to a former gamekeeper’s lodge, secluded in the woods, 7 km from Doks and Bezděz, 10 km from Mšeno, and 2 km from the village of Okna (store, post office, train, bus). The location is ideal for families with small children, larger groups, cyclists, and hikers. Guests can use a covered outdoor kitchen with equipment and an electrical outlet, restroom facilities in the house, a fire pit, a grill, a ping-pong table, and other sports equipment, an outdoor sink with drinking water, and outdoor seating. Dogs are welcome. Wi-Fi is available (though the signal is weak). Parking is in the garden. For large RVs, parking is provided on the property in front of the barn. Smaller RVs and campers can park directly in the garden. Cats occasionally appear on the property, and a one-year-old puppy with a calm temperament lives in the garden. Railroad tracks run alongside the garden, and trains occasionally pass by (they do not run at night).
The surrounding forests are full of natural treasures, including herbs, blueberries, and mushrooms. You can take a pleasant short walk to the village of Okna (the “Na hřišti” pub) or the village of Hlinoviště (the “U houbaře” tavern). Suggestions for other excursions on foot or by bike: Bezděz Castle, Houska Castle, Doksy and Máchovo Lake, Břehyňský Pond and the bird sanctuary, Kokořín Castle, the historic villages of the Kokořín region (Žďár, Kruh...), the Lobeč Brewery, the Vrátenská Lookout Tower, Mšeno and the U Živných pastry shop, the former Hradčany military area (Hradčanské Ponds, Ralsko), Bělá pod Bezdězem, Vlhošť Hill, the historic town of Úštěk, etc.
