- You can use the restrooms inside the Radost Mountain Lodge. The restrooms are accessible 24 hours a day.
drinking water
- You can fill up with fresh drinking water all year round. A garden hose (or an outdoor faucet) is available near the cottage’s outdoor facilities for refilling the tanks of RVs and trailers. Of course, you can also fill up with water inside the building.
electricity
- Power is supplied via a standard 230V outlet (standard household type) located in the cottage’s utility room. We recommend bringing your own extension cord (ideally 15–20 m) and, if necessary, a CEE-to-standard-outlet adapter.

- For your convenience, the cottage building is equipped with clean washrooms and showers with hot water. Accessible 24/7.

- Gray water can easily be poured into the slotted drain right in front of the cabin.
Chemical toilet
- The contents of the chemical toilet can be emptied without restriction into the perforated drain in front of the cabin (the drain is connected to the cabin’s standard sewer system and wastewater treatment plant).
Access to the property may be difficult in rainy weather
An asphalt municipal road leads to the property. In the summer and when it rains, the site is easily accessible to all standard vehicles and RVs. In the winter, the road is plowed, but given the mountainous conditions in the Orlické Mountains, we recommend having snow chains or a 4x4 vehicle, especially in fresh snow or on icy roads.
Restriction of the access road
The access road is generally passable for camper vans and standard RVs (the narrowest section is approximately 3 meters wide). There are no height restrictions here (no low underpasses or overhanging branches). For large, oversized vehicles or long RV trailers, we recommend allowing for extra clearance when turning off the main road.

Right from the cabin, you can access the extensive network of bike paths and mountain trails in the Orlické Mountains. Both casual e-bike riders and serious mountain bikers will find something to enjoy here.
winter sports
In winter, you're just a short distance from the ski resorts in Deštné. Cross-country ski trails run right through the area surrounding the cabin.
water sports
During the summer season, you can take advantage of our fire reservoir, nearby swimming areas, or mountain streams to cool off after a hike.
activities for kids
For our youngest visitors, we have a playground on the premises with a sandbox, a swing, and a merry-go-round, where children can safely play in the fresh air. For older children, there’s a sports field with a net for volleyball or footvolley, as well as plenty of space on the lawn for ball games. Plus, the pleasant Fairy Tale Trail runs just a few kilometers from the cabin.
hiking
An ideal starting point for ridge hikes, a climb up Velká Deštná or Šerlich, or exploring the surrounding military fortifications and beautiful natural surroundings.
Animals
U nás na Radosti je fakt živo! Na okraji areálu uvidíte naše koně, veselé kozí stádečko v ohradě, pobíhající slepice i mazlivé kočky (a našeho přátelského psa). Zvířata jsou zvyklá na lidi a dělají obrovskou radost hlavně dětem.
Other activities
Relax by the Fire with Good Food: In the evening, you can grill sausages over the fire pit or head to our restaurant for draft beer and a hearty meal.
Mushrooming and foraging for wild berries: The surrounding forests are a paradise for mushroom hunters and blueberry lovers alike.
Relaxing in nature: A peaceful setting, fresh mountain air, and ideal conditions for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Quiet Hours: Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. so that everyone in the mountains can get some rest.
Dogs: We love dogs, but please keep them under supervision on the premises (we have our own animals here—please do not feed them!) and make sure to clean up after them.
Fires and Barbecues: Please light fires only in the designated fire pit, and make sure the fire is safely extinguished before leaving.
Arrival: Upon arrival, please check in briefly at the lodge’s restaurant; we’ll be happy to show you around and help you set up your electricity.

A pleasant camping spot near a mountain cabin not far from Velká Deštná. We could set up our tent in several different spots of our choosing.
